The Grace Academy Knights will be playing at home against the Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grace Academy will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
Even though Grace Academy has not done well against Heritage Academy recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Grace Academy had just enough and edged Heritage Academy out 55-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Grace Academy has posted yet this season.
It was another big night for Peter Ciardiello, who scored 30 points along with nine rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Grace Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Feeser, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Cumberland Valley Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher two weeks ago after their fifth straight loss. Their rough 69-44 defeat to Heritage Academy might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Cumberland Valley Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 269th in Pennsylvania, while Heritage Academy is ranked 51st in Maryland).
Grace Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Cumberland Valley Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
