On Thursday Corbett take on Yamhill-Carlton at 7:00 PM. Corbett come in off of six low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
Corbett have to be aching after a bruising 8-36 defeat to Salem Academy last Friday.
Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: Yamhill-Carlton lost to Scio, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 0-46. The state rankings had actually given Yamhill-Carlton a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the win. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
