The Jacksonville Fightin' Indians were the 50-36 winner over the Pollok Central Bulldogs when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Jacksonville's tough 48-28 defeat to Pollok Central on Saturday might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Jacksonville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 601st, while Pollok Central is ranked 165th).
Pollok Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Wyatt Graham, who scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds. Darrius Sherman was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 3 steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Jacksonville and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Pollok Central, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jacksonville will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on McKinney at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th. Pollok Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face Brook Hill at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th.
