Softball Recap: Fife Has No Trouble Against Foss

While Fife put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Foss. Fife put the hurt on Foss with a sharp 19-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Kaitlin Christiansen and Mallory Geving did most of the damage at the plate: Christiansen scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Geving went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Christiansen also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Hailey Ufer was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four RBI and one double.

Fife was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Fife's record is now 3-1. As for Foss, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Fife will face off against Cedar Park Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Park Christian will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Fife surely won't give up without a fight. As for Foss, they will challenge Clover Park at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Foss is facing Clover Park at the right time seeing as Clover Park is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
