After flying high against the Bennington Bulldogs last Friday, The Lincoln Leopards came back down to earth. Lincoln had to suffer through a rough 54-14 loss at the hands of Ell-Saline. Lincoln lost against Ell-Saline in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 50-18 score last time.
Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Ell-Saline, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Lincoln will head out on the road to face off against Rawlins County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Rawlins County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up four on Friday. As for Ell-Saline, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Quinter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Quinter is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
