Stevens Point had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the New London Bulldogs 17-10.
 Stevens Point got a  massive  performance out of  Aubree Itzen, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and three  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Callie Diekhus, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with three  runs, three  doubles,  and one  RBI.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stevens Point will square off against Oshkosh West at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for New London, they will take on Amherst at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
