Baseball Recap: Channelview Wins Going Away Against Humble

Channelview never got on the board in their matchup last Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Humble on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Humble Wildcats as they made off with a 10-4 win. Considering the Falcons have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Alex Gonzalez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Gonzalez was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three runs. That's the most hits he has posted over his last eight contests.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Julian MacAdam, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February.

Channelview's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 11-8. As for Humble, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11-1.

Channelview will have a chance to go back-to-back against Humble: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
