The Los Altos Eagles will head out on the road to  face off against  the Menlo School Knights  at 3:00  p.m.  on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many  points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Los Altos is headed into Monday's   matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight  losses. They took  a  21-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of Santa Clara on Monday. The Eagles gained 64 more yards on the day, but it was the Bruins that made the best use of them.
Although Los Altos took the loss, they still got scores from  Fernanda Mendieta and  Sabrina Neal.
 Even if they lost, Los Altos' defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess:  Daisy Villa Garcia,  Lily Whiting,  and  Erin Jesensky, who each picked up one  sack apiece.
 Meanwhile, Menlo School was just a  hair shy of victory  on Wednesday and fell  13-12 to Sacred Heart Prep.
 Menlo School's  defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 13-2. As for Los Altos, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.
 Los Altos suffered a grim  28-6 defeat to Menlo School  in their previous matchup  back in September. Can the Eagles avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
