Greenwood were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Hall 41-6. Followers of Greenwood probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.
The matchup started off well for Greenwood, whose offense put up 35 first-half points. Meanwhile, Hall couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 35-0 heading into the break. The Greenwood defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the match. The contest brought Greenwood to 3-1 and dropped Hall to a mirror-image 1-3.
Next week Greenwood take on El Dorado at 7:00 PM. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous games. Hall will look to defend their home turf against Lake Hamilton at 7:00 PM. Neither Hall nor Lake Hamilton could muster much offensive firepower in their last games, so look to the defense to decide this one.
