Liberty-Benton had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They never let the Columbus Grove Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Considering the Eagles have won nine matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Liberty-Benton's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Columbus Grove, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.
