Football Recap: Dorchester Academy Piles Up the Points Against Hilton Head Prep

While Dorchester Academy put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Hilton Head Prep. The Raiders really took it to the Dolphins for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-0 victory. The Raiders pushed the score to 35-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Dolphins had no chance of recovering from.

Dorchester Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but John Quattlebaum led the charge by throwing for 184 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.2% of his passes, and also punching in one score on the ground. What's more, Quattlebaum racked up 157.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August of 2024. John Whetsell helped Quattlebaum out on the ground, rushing for 123 yards and a pair of TDs on only 15 carries.

Dorchester Academy has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 48.5 points this season. As for Hilton Head Prep, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dorchester Academy will welcome Patrick Henry Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hilton Head Prep, they will challenge Bethesda Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Dolphins' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
