Softball Recap: West Florence Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

West Florence put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's sixth consecutive shutout on Thursday. They never let the Ridge View Blazers get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Charisma Williams was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Anniston Kirshy, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

West Florence was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in six consecutive matchups.

West Florence pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Ridge View and 2-11 Spring Valley (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 34.4% over those games). As for Ridge View, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
