San Antonio Memorial has struggled against Cuero recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Cuero was led to victory by Arissa Carbonara and Aubrey Bowles. Carbonara scored 23 points along with eight steals and six rebounds, while Bowles scored 26 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bowles has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lainee Ballin, who scored ten points along with five assists and five steals.
San Antonio Memorial bumped their record down to 2-26 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Cuero, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 27-3.
San Antonio Memorial will head out on the road to challenge John F. Kennedy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. John F. Kennedy has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12. As for Cuero, they will be playing at home against Young Women's Leadership Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Young Women's Leadership Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1217th, while Cuero is ranked 215th).
