The Center Grove Trojans entered their tilt with the Columbus North Bull Dogs with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Center Grove blew past Columbus North 35-12. Considering Center Grove has won five games by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Tyler Cherry looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 179 yards and two touchdowns while completing 94.1% of his passes, and also punching in a rushing score. Noah Coy did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 109 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Center Grove's win was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 10-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.6 points per game. As for Columbus North, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Center Grove will be playing at home against Warren Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Warren Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Center Grove is ranked second). Columbus North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
