The Randleman Tigers will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Asheboro Blue Comets at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Randleman had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost to Oak Grove on the road by a decisive 64-45 margin on Monday.
Randleman's loss came about despite a quality game from Audra Petty, who shot 5-for-6 from deep and dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Asheboro fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Providence Grove on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 71-68. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Randleman's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Asheboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Everything came up roses for Randleman against Asheboro when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 67-37 win. Will Randleman repeat their success, or does Asheboro have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
