River extended their winning streak to five on Monday, bumping their season record up to 8-4 in the process. They never let the Shenandoah Zeps get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Pilots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

As for Shenandoah, they dropped their record down to 1-16 with the defeat, which was their 22nd straight on the road dating back to last season. The game snapped a strange streak: the last six times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

For Shenandoah's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dakoda Rich, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base. Rhys Stesen also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River will take on Bellaire at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shenandoah, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shadyside at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so the Zeps' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
