Westlake entered their tilt with Judge Memorial Catholic on Monday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Judge Memorial Catholic Bulldogs with a sharp 61-37 win. Given the Thunder's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Bulldogs are ranked 66th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Westlake's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avery Thompson, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 13 points and four steals. Keira Hester was another key player, going 5 of 9 on her way to 14 points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Westlake was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Judge Memorial Catholic only racked up five assists.

Judge Memorial Catholic's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kiki Booker, who posted seven points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jane Analjok, who put up six points.

Westlake is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
