Sadly, the Poetry Community Christian Pioneer are still looking for their first win of the season after 13 matches. They were dealt a 49-7 loss at the hands of Heritage Christian on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Poetry Community Christian of the 55-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Heritage Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brookleigh Vancil, who scored four points along with 11 rebounds and seven steals. It was the first time this season that Vancil pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ali Orchard, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Poetry Community Christian dropped their record down to 0-13 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Heritage Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-7.
Poetry Community Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Heritage Christian also has no future games currently scheduled.
