Daniel Calhoun is a high school senior but he would be an imposing presence at left tackle
right now at any level of football. The 6-foot-7, 365-pound Georgia Bulldogs commit has helped
Walton (Marietta, Ga.) steamroll its first two opponents this season and earn a spot in this week's MaxPreps Top 25 national rankings.
247Sports has Calhoun pegged as the No. 69 overall prospect in the Class of 2024. He received 26 offers before electing to stay in-state and play for the two-time defending national champions over the summer.

Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida Sate, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Texas were among the college football powers that extended scholarship offers to Calhoun.
Last week in a 63-15 win over Brookwood, Calhoun helped pave the way for his running backs to gain 255 yards and four touchdowns on 9.1 yards per carry. Walton dominated perennial power Grayson 49-27 in its season opener in a game that was played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, home of the Atlanta Falcons and the SEC championship game.
Calhoun transferred prior to this school year to Walton from nearby Centennial (Roswell), where he was also a member of the varsity basketball team.
