The Purchase Line Red Dragons will head out on the road to  take on  the Blacklick Valley Vikings at 4:15  p.m.  on Friday. Purchase Line is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a 15-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
 Purchase Line will head into Thursday's  game out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune  on Thursday. They suffered a  tough 9-1 loss at the hands of Marion Center.
 Purchase Line saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Stephen Perrusso, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Even though they lost, Purchase Line  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with five  strikeouts. This was only their eighth loss (out of nine games) when  they post five or more  strikeouts.
 Meanwhile, Blacklick Valley can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent  contest  on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Turkeyfoot Valley Area  a   16-0 shutout. With that  win, Blacklick Valley brought their scoring average up to 6.9  runs per game.
  Eli Sheesley looked comfortable as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only one  hit over four innings pitched.
 On the hitting side,  Greg Schilling was  incredible,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with five  RBI, three  runs,  and a  stolen base. Another player making a difference was  Hayden Williams, who  went 4-for-4 with four  RBI and a  run.
 Purchase Line's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Blacklick Valley, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record  this season.
 Purchase Line might still be hurting after the  14-1 loss they got from Blacklick Valley  when the teams last played  back in April of 2023. Thankfully for Purchase Line,  Josh Hessler (who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances) won't be suiting up this time.
