On Tuesday, Terry was able to grind out a solid victory over Pearl River Central, taking the game 49-37. Given Terry's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Pearl River Central is ranked 229th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Terry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elisiah Branson, who scored 15 points along with five steals. Branson continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Toniah Watts was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Terry and bumps their season record up to 8-2. As for Pearl River Central, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Terry will be home for the holidays to greet Forest Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pearl River Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Jim Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
