Klein Cain is 2-7 against Klein since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Klein Cain Hurricanes will head out on the road to square off against the Klein Bearkats at 7:00 p.m. Klein Cain knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Klein likes a good challenge.
Klein Cain pushed their score all the way to 65 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 72-65 to Tomball Memorial. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (60), Klein Cain still had to take the loss.
Despite their loss, Klein Cain saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Koye Rondeno, who scored 15 points along with three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Nick Delgado, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
Meanwhile, Klein was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 52-51 to Tomball.
Klein Cain's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-13. As for Klein, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-14.
Klein Cain was able to grind out a solid win over Klein in their previous meeting back in January, winning 54-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Klein Cain since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
