Harvard-Westlake is 9-1 against La Salle since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wolverines will square off against the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Neither Harvard-Westlake nor La Salle posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Harvard-Westlake is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Birmingham on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Wolverines were dealt a 44-8 loss at the hands of the Patriots. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 56-7, which was the final score in La Salle's tilt against Claremont last Friday. The Lancers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-7.

Harvard-Westlake will have to contain Alexandros Darlas as he made an impact in La Salle's last game. He rushed for 60 yards and one TD, and also picked up 33 receiving yards.

Harvard-Westlake now has a losing record of 2-3. As for La Salle, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Harvard-Westlake beat La Salle 38-31 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
