On Tuesday, the Idea Timberwolves faced the DC International Dragons in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Idea strolled past DC International with points to spare, taking the game 62-44. The win was familiar territory for Idea who now have three in a row.
Idea's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nehemiah Johnson, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Malachi Hoston, who scored nine points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Despite the loss, DC International still got an impressive performance from Jordan Mason, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Moore, who scored ten points.
Idea is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for DC International, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Idea won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Sandy Spring Friends at 1:45 p.m. on January 24th. Sandy Spring Friends is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for DC International, they will take on Washington Leadership Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Washington Leadership Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests.
