The Immaculate Mustangs had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 43-32 victory over Brookfield on Monday. For Immaculate, this counts as revenge for the 52-46 defeat the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Immaculate's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Callie Miller led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristina Asmani, who scored 12 points.
Immaculate's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Brookfield, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-8.
Immaculate will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Connecticut (Bethel is ranked 54th, while the Mustangs are ranked 38th). As for Brookfield, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Pomperaug is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
