The Marcellus Mustangs put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Skaneateles 58-37. Marcellus might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three games by 20 points or more this season.
Marcellus got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Will Burnett out in front who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. The contest was Burnett's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Will Kershaw was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Marcellus' victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.33 points. As for Skaneateles, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marcellus will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against General Brown at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. General Brown comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Skaneateles is on the road again on Friday and play against Red Creek at 2:00 p.m. on December 29th.
