McMichael pushed their score all the way to 73 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The matchup between them and Walkertown wasn't particularly close, with McMichael falling 90-73. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McMichael in their matchups with Walkertown: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the loss, McMichael saw an underclassman step up: Brayden Dalton scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Cooper Kirkpatrick, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Reidsville put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Dudley by a score of 65-55. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Reidsville has scored all season.
McMichael has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. As for Reidsville, they pushed their record up to 19-0 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.
McMichael was taken down by Reidsville 94-55 when the teams last played last Wednesday. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point McMichael was down 54-23.
