Eastmark got themselves on the board against Desert Sunrise on Saturday, but Desert Sunrise never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Golden Hawks with a sharp 19-0 win. The Firebirds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

Mia Migliaccio made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Eastmark got a massive performance out of Andrea Fletcher, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Fletcher a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzie Bozeman, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Eastmark always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .742. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Eastmark and bumps their season record up to 10-6. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Desert Sunrise, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastmark will venture away from home to face off against ALA - Queen Creek at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Eastmark's pitchers better be ready for this one: ALA - Queen Creek has averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Desert Sunrise, they will head out on the road to challenge Dysart at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Dysart has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.9 runs per game on average), something Desert Sunrise will no doubt try to take advantage of.
