TEACH Homeschool had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Currituck County Knights by a score of 4-3. TEACH Homeschool got a good showing from Conner Burcker, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.
On the hitting side, Alex Dandrade and Paul Schwindt did some serious damage despite the final result: Dandrade went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double, while Schwindt scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Coming up, TEACH Homeschool will venture away from home to square off against Norview at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Currituck County, they will host Eastern Christian HomeSchool at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
