Lakeside had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 46-33 win over North Atlanta on Tuesday. The victory was just what Lakeside needed coming off of a 68-42 defeat in their prior match.
Zayd Muhammad and Jacob Tillman were among the main playmakers for Lakeside as the former scored 14 points and the latter scored 13 points along with five assists. Ahmari Henson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Marist pushed their score all the way to 73 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Riverwood by a score of 75-73. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Marist in their matchups with Riverwood: they've now lost four in a row.
Lakeside's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-15. As for Marist, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-9.
