Smithville won the last time they faced Hillsdale and things went their way on Thursday too. The Smithville Smithies breezed by the Hillsdale Falcons to the tune of 49-22. The Smithies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Smithville, bringing their record for this year to 17-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.5 points per game. As for Hillsdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Smithville will venture away from home to square off against Norwayne at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Norwayne knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Smithville likes a good challenge.
