The Columbus North Bull Dogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell 54-41 to Covenant Christian.
Columbus North's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Ferguson, who scored 15 points along with five assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Garrett Long, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Columbus North's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-7. As for Covenant Christian, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus North will take on Mooresville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Mooresville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Friday. As for Covenant Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Guerin Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
