Skyview has gone 8-2 against Emmett recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Hawks will host the Huskies at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Skyview has three straight wins, Emmett has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Friday, Skyview needed a bit of extra time to put away Bishop Kelly. They won by a run and slipped past the Knights 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hawks have posted since May 17, 2024.

Makenna Shamy spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Makayla Lytle was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella McMullen, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Meanwhile, in Friday's Canine Competition, Emmett had to take the L. They came up short against Nampa on Friday, falling 19-10. Huskies fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bulldogs since on Friday.
Cassidy Ford stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-3 with five RBI and one run. Avery Reynolds was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Emmett's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Skyview, their win bumped their record up to 9-13.
Skyview's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's matchup. The Hawks have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Emmett, though, as they've been averaging only 0.9 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Skyview continue to outrun the ball?
Skyview beat Emmett 7-4 when the teams last played back in March. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
