Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carver A&T). They put the hurt on the Western Tech & Environmental Science Wolverines with a sharp 21-12 victory on Tuesday. With that win, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 7.1 runs per game.
Lily Anderson made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Jocelyn Barker was a standout: she scored six runs and stole a base while going 6-for-6. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.
