Basketball Recap: Carpinteria Sets Scoring Season-High Against Fillmore

Carpinteria extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-5. They fell 65-53 to the Fillmore Flashes. On the bright side, the 53- point performance marked the Warriors' highest-scoring game to date.

As for Fillmore, they now have a winning record of 3-2. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Brendan Banks-Speed produced another solid effort putting up 28 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Fillmore's points. Ivan Contreras was another key player, earning seven points.

Carpinteria wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-38 victory against Villanova Prep on the 4th. As for Fillmore, they have also already played their next matchup, a 74-40 win against Hueneme on the 4th.
