The Haskell Indians will face off against the Christoval Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Haskell will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Haskell is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They didn't even let Coleman on the board, marking the Indians' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won ten matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Brynlee Stocks was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Landri Adkins was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Rebekah Cunningham, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Haskell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Christoval took on Wink on Thursday. The Cougars narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Wildcats 11-9. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.
Malayah Quinn was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Canyon Slayden was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Haskell's record is now 17-6. As for Christoval, their record now sits at 18-5-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Haskell hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Christoval struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Haskell's way against Christoval when the teams last played back in February of 2023, as Haskell made off with a 17-6 win. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
