They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 62-36 walloping at the hands of Victory Baptist Academy. Waxahachie Prep has struggled against the Patriots recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Victory Baptist Academy was led to victory by Isaac Johnson and Hudson Ruhl. Johnson dropped a double-double on 11 points and 20 rebounds, while Ruhl scored 25 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last 23 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Hestand, who scored eight points along with four steals and two blocks.
Waxahachie Prep dropped their record down to 2-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Victory Baptist Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.
Waxahachie Prep will be playing at home against the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Victory Baptist Academy, they will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
