The Bridge Creek Bobcats and the Pauls Valley Panthers will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Bridge Creek's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine matchups.
Even though Tuttle scored an imposing 67 points on Friday, Bridge Creek still came out on top. Bridge Creek was the clear victor by a 88-67 margin over Tuttle. Given Bridge Creek's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while Tuttle is ranked 85th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Pauls Valley has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kingston on Saturday.
Bridge Creek is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. As for Pauls Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
Bridge Creek took their victory against Pauls Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 92-67. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bridge Creek since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
