St. Charles got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was McKenzie Thomas out in front who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Jaela Spears, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
St. Charles' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Great Mills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Charles won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Point at 6:30 p.m. on January 18th. One thing working in North Point's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups. As for Great Mills, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Northern at 6:30 p.m. Northern has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
