The Hanna Golden Eagles won the last time they faced the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears, and things went their way on Saturday too. Hanna came out on top in a nail-biter against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo and snuck past 38-36. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hanna.
Sofia Roman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That makes it 16 consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Hanna's points. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Rios, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Despite the loss, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo still got an impressive performance from Jackie Molina, who scored 15 points along with three steals. The game was Molina's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Orozco, who scored six points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Hanna has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hanna will take on Harvest Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Harvest Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Nixon at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th. Nixon will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
