Jair Watson and Decaris Jones provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Jenkins. The longest such play in 6A District 10 this season, the connection resulted in 51 yards.
Tyler Brown of Lake Gibson ran for the longest rushing play in the league this season against Ridge last week. Brown's team beat the Bolts as he sprinted for 69 yards on the play and finished with 144 in all.
Trey Congdon put up the best numbers through the air as Lake Gibson topped Ridge. He finished with 12 completions for 157 yards and two touchdowns. Congdon's favorite target this week was Sammie Jackson, who caught two passes for 42 yards.
Aj Gayle was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 174 yards on 26 carries as Sebring lost to the Eagles. Jake Bryan also contributed to the rushing game with 24 yards on the ground.
Jones was the best wideout in 6A District 10 this week as the Blue Streaks lost to Jenkins. Jones racked up one reception for 51 yards. Bryan helped Sebring's passing attack out by catching two balls for 24 yards.
Lake Gibson's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Braves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Congdon has thrown for 1155 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Eric Carter has 36 catches for 556 yards. Brown leads the league in rushing with 829 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Bartow takes on Keith Demyer's team. As it stands, the Yellow Jackets are in fourth, while the Braves are in first.
Lake Gibson extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Richard Tate's team, 26-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
