The Midlothian Heritage Jaguars will head out to take on the Ennis Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Midlothian Heritage will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Midlothian Heritage is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Terrell get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory on Friday. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.
Gavin Railsback looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Cayden Campbell was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carter Rutenbar, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Midlothian Heritage always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .629. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ennis, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Red Oak on Friday, sneaking past 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted since March 6th.
Bryan Leija looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Ennis' success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 5-1-1 (and 7-8-1 when he doesn't).
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Blaine Zhanel, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Keno Castillo was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Midlothian Heritage pushed their record up to 19-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Ennis, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9-2 record this season.
Ennis' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Midlothian Heritage hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .331. It's a different story for Ennis, though, as they've only averaged .239. Will they be able to contain Midlothian Heritage's hitters?
Midlothian Heritage suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Ennis in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Can the Jaguars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
