The Livingston Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Escalon at home and fell 82-54. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Livingston in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost five in a row.
Livingston lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Imanol Gutierrez, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Aguirre, who scored 13 points.
Livingston has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season. As for Escalon, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which somehow isn't as good as their 20-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Livingston will stay at home for another game and welcome the Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Hilmar is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Escalon, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Huskies at 7:00 p.m. Hughson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 269 points over their last four contests.
