Given Wichita Defenders HomeSchool's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Panthers are ranked 234th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Newton HomeSchool still got an impressive performance from Rachel Graham, who scored eight points along with four steals and two blocks.
The win (which was Wichita Defenders HomeSchool's third in a row) raised their record to 6-2. As for Newton HomeSchool, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7.
