The Garinger Wildcats will be playing at home against the Harding University Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Garinger knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Harding University likes a good challenge.
Last Tuesday, Garinger took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 60-25 win over Berry.
Garinger found their leader in underclassman Misa Garris, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Garris has scored at least 25% of Garinger's points. Imonee Patterson was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 11 rebounds and 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Harding University couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a serious blow against Palisades on Monday, falling 60-18. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Harding University in their matchups with Palisades: they've now lost three in a row.
Garinger's victory bumped their season record to 3-0 while Berry's loss dropped theirs to 0-2.
Everything came up roses for Garinger against Harding University when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 59-11 victory. Does Garinger have another victory up their sleeve, or will Harding University turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
