After losing to the Andrews Mustangs the last time they met, the Greenwood Rangers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Greenwood walked away with a 56-43 win over Andrews on Friday.
Greenwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tatum Pierce, who scored 19 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Pierce has scored at least a third of Greenwood's points. Another player making a difference was Ty Presley, who scored 15 points.
Greenwood's win bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Andrews, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenwood on the road again on Tuesday and play against Seminole at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Seminole has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 181 points over their last three contests. As for Andrews, they will head out on the road to take on Pecos at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
