In what's become a running theme this season, the Sound Christian Lions gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They put the hurt on Quilcene with a sharp 68-44 victory. The victory was nothing new for Sound Christian as they're now sitting on four straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sound Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than AJ Alexeev, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Alexeev hasn't dropped below 15 points for 13 straight games. David Mesler was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Sound Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Quilcene, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
Sound Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Rainier Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. The timing isn't great for Rainier Christian: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Sound Christian has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. Quilcene will take on Puget Sound Adventist at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
