On Tuesday, it was a hard-fought match, but Salt Lake Academy had to settle for a 40-37 loss against Non Varsity Opponent.
Salt Lake Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maci Nell , who scored 16 points. Nell scored a full 43.2% of Salt Lake Academy's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Addison Patrick was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Salt Lake Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Non Varsity Opponent, their win bumped their record up to 76-123.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salt Lake Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Spectrum Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 11th. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they will take on Providence Prep at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Providence Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 last Thursday.
