Baseball Recap: Pryor Wins Going Away Against Mannford

Pryor got themselves on the board against Mannford on Thursday, but Mannford never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 15-0 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by eight runs or more this season.

Sergio Banuelos was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Talan Foster was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Pryor was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .550. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Pryor's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Mannford, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pryor will take on Mansfield Homeschool in a tournament on Friday. As for Mannford, they will welcome Skiatook at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
