Delta is 5-0 against South Sevier since September of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Delta Rabbits will be playing in front of their home fans against the South Sevier Rams at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Delta and six for South Sevier.
Last Friday, Delta came up short against Emery and fell 37-27.
Kadance Lovell put forth a good effort for the losing side as he picked up 155 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 85 yards on only six carries. Lovell's longest reception was for an incredible 82 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunt Robinson, who threw for 332 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, South Sevier was just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 27-26 to Grand County.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Boston Palmer, who rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. Brockston Bair was another key contributor, rushing for 124 yards.
The losses dropped Delta to 5-5 and South Sevier to 1-8.
Everything came up roses for Delta against South Sevier when the teams last played back in September as the team secured a 48-6 win. Does Delta have another victory up their sleeve, or will South Sevier turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
